The last innovation from manufacturer of connected lighting solutions for smart homes Sengled brings together light and sound. Connected to a TV or speaker, the Pulse Link adapter wirelessly transmits audio signals to the Pulse smart light bulbs, providing a new audio output in the equipped rooms.
Sengled once again successfully unveiled innovative products at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2017 in Las Vegas. The smart light bulb manufacturer won two awards: one in the eco-design and sustainability category and the other in the smart-home segment. The winner product of that last category is Sengled Pulse Link, a wireless adapter which can extend the Pulse light bulb functions.
Connected light bulbs Pulse are equipped with JBL stereo speakers which allow them to broadcast the sound of another device (music, audio files…) via a Bluetooth transmission. Adapter Pulse Link can be connected to a TV or speaker. The sound of these devices can then be wirelessly transmitted to the smart light bulbs’ speakers. Placed on either side of the television set, the Pulse connected bulbs can thus provide a stereo sound and contribute to a full immersion of the users in a movie.
A Light Bulb And A Speaker At Once
Pulse Link is integrated in a kit which includes two smart light bulbs Pulse, which fit into a standard socket (E27 or B22) and can thus easily replace you traditional light bulbs. The LED provide a good level of brightness with 600 lumens for an electric consumption of 15W (light and sound), that can go up to 30W depending on the manufacturer. No colors are available with this model, which comes in a cold white tone (2,700K). However, the light intensity can be configured on the mobile app.
Two different types of light bulbs must be distinguished when connected with Pulse Link. The main bulb, which receives via Bluetooth the signals that should be translated into sound; and the satellite bulbs, connected with the main one via radio. Up to eight light bulbs can interact together, allowing the user to create a real sound system. The 13W built-in speakers can provide a surround sound effect and the app includes many sound effect settings: normal, pop, jazz, classical, rock, vocal and movie.
